Merry Christmas!!!! (and/or something else)

Have a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and whatever other holidays you celebrate this season!

…or… To put it more simply:

Upon recognizing that this, the very night upon which I decided to look at the clock, is also the eve of that most important and widely celebrated holiday. That is, in a word, Christmas. I also recognized that it is common convention for those who are concerned with the good impressions and reputations that are formed of themselves upon and with, respectively, others, to give an indication of one’s intentions and feelings towards those. Having then understood and accepted these conventions as practices which are worth keeping, I have deemed it necessary to follow through with these demonstrations. The verbal and written methods being the most common, I therefore wish to you, and whomever else may be with you, a most enjoyable and joyous of times upon this day, the twenty-fifth day of the twelfth month of the year of our Lord, two thousand and eleven. Also, recognizing that many of different faiths, creeds, nationalities, and shapes may celebrate other days as either sacred or special, I offer unto you a general and generic intention of good feeling, joy, and happiness. In a word: Happy holidays.
